I don't know if any of you have ever checked out Tales from the Database but it's pretty cool.
It's a column written by the owner of Mile High Comics.
Included is a multi-part column about the biggest comic purchase he's ever made.
By "big" I mean close to 20k books, a lot of them being Golden Age.
Going through my box of old comics, and bagging and boarding them all, made me wonder:
How do you guys organize your stuff? Bag it all, bag some, bag none? Throw it all in a box, or organize it according to whatever?
My new stuff is almost completely unbagged, my Tick comics being the exception.
My old stuff is in the process of being bagged right now, and I'll need to get more bags to finish. While I'm at it, I may bag up the new stuff, too.
I have an Ultimate box, an X-Men box, 2 Marvel U boxes, 3 DCU boxes, and a non-big 2 box
In the next month or so, I'm going to break down my two box system a little further.
Right now, I have an "old box", for the stuff I got from my uncle and the things I've added to that collection, most of which is still at dad's, and a "new box" for the stuff that I've bought for myself.
The old box is getting full, so depending on how much I get at that guy's store I may be getting a second one, and my new box is getting split into a Spidey box and an everything else box.
t Anjin, no shit, tape. I meant, I understand the idea. It's what the hell I actually do with the fold that I'm not getting.

You fold it along the crease and run your forefinger and thumb along the bended crease. Then you tape it to secure it. Done and done.
Ohay, that's it. Wiggin, you're not real. No one is that stupid. You've taken us all in for however long it's been, but this one... sorry. I cannot believe that a real person would even ask such a thing.

Oh I'm sorry.
My mistake for normally using the bags that came with the stuff, which are all 20+ years old and lacking that little fold thing.
How dare I ask what the point of that is.

What's the point of the extra fold in the flap of the bag?
so it can be sealed in the bag
That makes sense, actually.
EDIT: Wait how the hell does this work

I ended up just doing what I'm used to with older bags, and just folded it over the top of the book, with the flap overlapping the bag.
I was just curious as to the purpose of a fold that seemed to serve no purpose.
do you watch desperate housewives

The rest of my comics are pretty old... I think I have an original Aquaman but it's in pieces. (I got it like that)
I store all my comics in a shoe box. They arent wrapped.
