iPod Backup Software

So my computer died and I had to reinstall windows and unfortunately this included wiping out my music and videos but luckly I had just synced my iPod before I did this so everything is safely stored there. Now I just need something that will pull off the data from my iPod and allow me to transfer it back into iTunes so I can start syncing again. Anyone have a good free program to do that? All the stuff I seem to find wants me to pay like 29.99 to 49.99 and I'd like to avoid that if possible.

My dad did it with a CMD prompt and some error skipping criteria. It worked great, he got everything off of it.

it was xcopy /v /c /s /h i think. Make sure you set the destination folder to something you can remember.

Not in a GUI that I know of, but you can just copy the audio files directly, then import them into iTunes.

Music Rescue is a good OS X equivalent that gets your metadata and playlists out (one advantage over just dragging the files over). There are bugs to try to get you to register it though.

Senuti was the program I used on Mac OS X to recover the music from my iPod, but I've not used it since 2006 so can't vouch for how well it works today. Did the trick, though.
