    I have two.

    ICO and Kid A

    :P
That first one of Laharl is probably my favourite of all the paintings she has done, and I haven't even played Disgaea...

    Hello LewieP's Mummy!

I hail all the way from GamesRadar forums, where LewieP does a lovely little job of saving us all lots of money by posting the bargains he finds (melatonin wafts around the place too).

Lots of people are currently fawning over your work as melatonin posted his painting.

Am I able to get in on the waiting list? I understand it's quite large now, but it'd be worth the wait!

Hey Tnman, yes, you can join the list, the next available slot is now April/May next year. I will need high res images of what you'd like me to paint, and the deal is you meet my costs (approx £10 per picture), postage (varying between £5 for in the UK and £40 for USA), and then buy something from Oxfam Unwrapped (dependant on your income).I paint the pic, you send me some ££, I send the pic, you buy from oxfam. Simple

I would like to join the que if possible, but only if you think you don't already have too much work on your hands. I would hate to be a burden. I just want to say that this is an incredibly amazing thing you are doing here and I absolutely love your work.

So, I definitely would love to get something painted . . . last time I checked, you wanted us to donate to charity as payment (which I think is awesome, by the way) but I'm sure you have many people in a queue. If you're still accepting people, I'd love to get in line. I will have to find something for you to paint, are there any restrictions?

    Am I too late? D:

EDIT: I just read a few posts up . . . next year? That is quite the long time, but I definitely want to grab the next available spot. Should I PM you any contact information? Or . . .

Hi, yes you can join the queue, yes, the next slot is now June next year - I know that sounds crazy, but I'm aiming for 1 per month, although I'm actually faster than that, I don't want to put myself under pressure (I have CFS blah, blah, blah).

Yes, please donate to Oxfam, check here

On request restrictions, I won't paint gory, nasty, violent or exploitative pics, only pretty ones. I'm a wimp, I shut my eyes through Spiderman, I was scared, and missed most of Lord of the Rings 2, I was so scared. Lewiep had to hold my hand through both, and I have a cushion to hide behind when I watch Dr Who, and even then get very stressed. I had to stop watching X Files cos I had bad dreams!

couldn't remember how to do the link to that post, so just cut and pasted it.

Anyhow, you're on my list now, let me know nearer the time what you'd like me to paint.

For my own part in this little exchange, I've opted for buying 100 school dinners for children. The keenly-eyed amongst you will notice that this only cost me £6, which is a few zeroes short of what these paintings are actually worth. And while you'd be completely justified in declaring me some sort of penny-pinching cheapskate, allow me to put forward a hollow shell of an excuse - I'm a postgraduate student, and my resources right now are somewhat low.

So, this is a stopgap. Dinners now, with a definite intention of donating something bigger in a few months once my cash reserves start flowing again. For the work done here, it's just about the least I could do.

I'll get a few pictures of RedXIII/Seto hung up once I actually find my digital camera. Needless to say, it looks bloody brilliant.

100 school dinners for children. !!! 100 children will not go hungry, or 10 children won't go hungry for 10 days - that's TOP! That's not pennypinching, that's very practical, that's doing exactly what I hoped people would do. Remember I said I'd just do these paintings for cost - if you couldn't afford stuff that was OK too, what you've just done is fab, thank you.

"In pastoralist areas in West Africa, the presence of a functioning canteen is probably the single most important factor in a parent's decision to keep his or her child in school during acute food shortages. Having school meals available often determines whether a child learns to read and write."
    Ali Bouneima, Oxfam Partner, Niger

I can't imagine not being able to read, not having had the chance to go to school, never mind what it must be like to go hungry because there is no choice. You have made a difference in a child's life. Be proud. Be blessed.

Lastminute.com, £501.20, going from Manchester to Chicago to Seattle. They were cheaper by about £40 for reasonable flight times and short layovers, flying with BMI. Asda were the next cheapest, at £521, but with rubbish flight times both ways - leaving Manchester at 8:00 am, arriving in Seattle at 9:20 pm, return times pretty similar. The hotel is about £70 per night, bus from airport between £2.50 and £7, depending which company you use. It was a bit cheaper going from London, but not worth the hassle for us - we live about 20 mins from Manchester Airport. And PAX tickets are £20 ish, to.

I think I need to lighten up the cave and right hand cliffs a bit, I don't know why, but my printer likes to print out stuff darker than it really is.

So I just stumbled upon this thread yesterday as I was trying to figure out what the hell happened to everyones avatars and I just wanted to say that what you are doing for everyone here is very cool. I especially like the Kid A album cover painting although I'm a bit prejudiced there.

And to see everyone else being so helpful and in such good behavior is really something. This is going so much better than the time that teacher whose students were covering the PA comics for awhile ventured into the new comic thread.
