I have an interview tomorrow with a company called Vantage Marketing International:
http://www.vmii.net/
I'm not sure about this position because I think it might be telemarketing and that's something I really don't want to do. I sent them my resume through a position they had posted on Monster.com and the description was this:
Descritpion
The thing is, it's Entry-Level, but the base-pay says around $30,000 a year. I'd also like to know if it's based on commission only, or something else. Maybe they're fibbing a little about it being base pay. I'm not sure.
They told me they wanted to set up an interview through e-mail. This was the e-mail I received:
Dear tardcore,
We appreciate your interest in a career with Vantage Marketing International! After reviewing the resume that you recently sent us online, we feel that you could be a potential fit with one of our
current openings. All of our positions are full time and entry level in the areas of:
Account Representatives, Public Relations, and Management training.
The managers would like to sit down with you in person for a one on one interview
to discuss these openings in further detail as well as where you might fit.
Please give me a call at your earliest convenience and we'll see what we can set up.
Congratulations tardcore for being selected in our initial screening.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Anyway, I've done a google search and haven't really found anything useful to tell me a bit about the company. I did a search on the BBB site, found the company, but it doesn't list any information.
Does anyone know how I can find out more about this position outside of calling them and asking? The commute is about 30 minutes plus traffic, and I don't really want to get my hopes up or waste my time over a job that is either telemarketing or 100% based on commission.
