I just watched that video of the punkass Australian kid not apologizing for the hugely destructive party he threw... and I'll be honest, I wish that hot anchor woman would tell me to apologize for something... cause I've been a bad boy who needs to be punished...

    ...I'll be in my bunk.

You learn hardly any practical skills in law school, true story.

Go work for the DA or PD for extra credit. You learn the practical skill of being very afraid of being on the wrong side of the law.

I did work for the DA. I don't think that should be the only way to learn practical skills when people pay thousands of dollars to go to school to be a lawyer.

So, uh, since when is it illegal to sell M rated games to minors?

'cause, I have quite a few M rated games. Which I bought. From a freaking Post Exchange.

Video game cut scene or it didn't happen.

I don't think it's actually illegal, since the game ratings are voluntary.

The way I understand it, it's most about the connections you make through classmates and alums, and the brand name on your diploma. So you're paying for a better chance at a higher-paying job.

Whenever anyone mentions the connections I'm supposed to be making at school, I can't help but get depressed about what fuck-ups my friends are.

I can't depend on these people for access to the Illuminati!

Having joined a semi-secret organization, I can safely say it's pretty lame. Maybe the Illumaniti do something the CA didn't, but that's probably a given when you think about how little the CA did.

Though we did have a room full of standing harps. I'm ... not really sure why, though. No one there could play the harp.

the Consortium Academia is a public/private society spanning the United States that recruits members with exceptional talents for its interior affairs, which is operating small private schoolhouses specializing in the fine arts

profits go to purchasing from town/police auction various bits of artistic or historical memorabilia, which are then stored in the schoolhouses, of which I believe there are six nationwide at the moment

EDIT: also, they have a habit of buying out the stock libraries which are updating or otherwise tossing stuff; for this reason, a very large amount of members are currently employed at libraries or were employed at a library at one point, since original printings/rare printings/foreign language/luxury printings of literature are also one of their specialties

I am/was [by some standards] an exceptional writer and when I was still in high school I was fairly decorated for it; in the upper-class of the county I grew up in, which had nothing better to do with their time than read the filler in the newspapers, I was a pretty household "fucking stuck-up overtalented and arrogant" brat

    Well someone told me yesterday
That when you throw your love away
You act as if you don't care
You look as if you're going somewhere

But I just can't convince myself
I couldn't live with no one else
And I can only play that part

When is PAX? I think it's, like ... right on my doorstep now or something.

This apartment is seriously the size of lower-end homes back in NJ, so with my roommate's permission we could definitely lodge some people here if necessary.

Going to PAX would be so much fun. Too bad I'd have to convince the girlfriend that it's a... business trip or something.

Ooh! Maybe it'll be during a time when she's in Ohio, so I can just take off from work and fly up. That'd be far too fortuitous for somebody like me.
