Converting .flv files to .mp3 for macs

Hey folks.

I got an inquiry I hope someone can help me with.

I've got downloadhelper to rip videos off of youtube and I was wondering if someone mac-savy could tell me how to convert the .flv files it rips to to .mp3 files.

    I don't get it. You want to take a flash video file, and turn it into.....audio?

    yeah. basically. there's a program for windows, flv extract. i cant get it to work on my computer, that could just be my stupidity. anywho. it seperates the music and video files. the music files can then be uploaded unto a program like pro-tools and screwed around with and tweaked.
