It's become pretty useless, period.
There's a few nice items, but only a handful of items, and only ones that are obtainable at endgame when you can get stuff that's nearly as good.
Smithing is becoming more and more obsolete with every patch, it seems.
What of the city that is also a pvp raid zone or whatever?
Also, Halaa, the PVP town, can be fun to fight over. Basically you've got a town that has a couple NPCs with useful items that are avilable to whichever side has control of the town. The town has a collection of guards that, when killed, enable the town to be captured.
The guards all have a fuckton of HP, so you get hitch a ride on special wyverns that allow you to bomb the shit of the town with special explosives. These explosives deal a % of damage and a small amount of burst damage, doing minor damage to enemy players, and a bunch of damage to guards. Players repeat this process until the guards are all dead, at which point they clusterfuck the town the best they can until they capture it and then it starts over again.
Good times.
Also, why must every comic that hits the official WoW page be terrible? Even the ones PA did for Blizzard were pretty awful, wheras the ones they made of their own accord are hardly much better (With a couple exceptions)

I log in and get to the select screen okay, but then when I hit enter on one of them it sits at the end of the loading screen until I force quit

Yeah, but we just got to the point where we can do a full kara clear, and it's a fucking badge pinata (which means we'll be able to buy new gear when 2.4 drops).
I'm fine with being left out as I can always PUG it but if you need my healz when I login I have all night.

Where'd you find the loot tables for Magister Terrace?
You can see the loot that drops off (or rather someone has linked what drops off of each boss) in the Magisters terrace dungeon page when you click on each individual boss.
