i would say more of a canter

cause it looks like he is on the way to take care of business as opposed to just returning from taking care of business

I never understood the Yuuzhon Vong thing. How were Jedi able to detect remotes if not by their absence, therefore the Vong shouldn't've been a problem.

I quit reading Star Wars novels after an unfortunate encounter with Kevin J. Anderson's attempts.

I started reading some wiki on that whole Vong thing--good god that was a lot of convoluted crap, and oh the wonderful list of contrived and stupid alien names.

There are a couple of fun EU books and the games are good

I like the universe, and some of the concepts

but the vast majority of the books are really poor

Man, you know what I need?

More novels discussing space battles in great, excessive even, detail.

I want to be hearing about fucking gravity wells and lasers and shit, not dragons and swords, damnit.

When a book makes episode 1 look good, it is time to take away that author's fingers so he can never write again.

Div on a leash is classic.

Gabe's face, however, looks fatter than usual today. Are the meds forcing him to hold more water?

Ha pretty good. So if you understand what Gabe is talking about does that make you crazy too? Also shouldn't Div have a muzzle :)

There'd be more racism if it were a Tintin comic.

Check out Walter Jon Williams' Dread Empire's Fall trilogy. It's a character driven story but has lots of space warfare throughout.

    It starts with "The Praxis."

Not his best work, but pretty good.

This comic could have simply been the second panel with no dialog, and it still would have been great.

The only Star Wars EU I've read so far that I've liked enough to reread were Aaron Allston's X-Wing books. Wraith Squadron/Dinner Squadron is always fun.

Yeah, a friend convinced me to read Vector Prime by some salvataore dude or something. I can't remember if I set that book down for good after I read the phrase "Leia's mom sense" or the line "The Millenium Falcon did some nifty maneuvers."

However, I did read the first of the Republic Commando novels that Gabe recommended, and it was rather entertaining.
