Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I never understood the Yuuzhon Vong thing. How were Jedi able to detect remotes if not by their absence, therefore the Vong shouldn't've been a problem.

Bird-lady with magic tears that cure cancer who is a jedi from the old republic
I started reading some wiki on that whole Vong thing--good god that was a lot of convoluted crap, and oh the wonderful list of contrived and stupid alien names.
When I was in boot to become an infantryman, on our one two-day off-base pass me and another guy went to see Private Ryan in theaters as it had just come out and during the opening scene we're all HOLY FUCK WHAT DID WE GET OURSELVES IN TO
The only Star Wars EU I've read so far that I've liked enough to reread were Aaron Allston's X-Wing books. Wraith Squadron/Dinner Squadron is always fun.
Yeah, a friend convinced me to read Vector Prime by some salvataore dude or something. I can't remember if I set that book down for good after I read the phrase "Leia's mom sense" or the line "The Millenium Falcon did some nifty maneuvers."

There'd be more racism if it were a Tintin comic.
But seeing them walk Div was worth the crazy legs.
Check out Walter Jon Williams' Dread Empire's Fall trilogy. It's a character driven story but has lots of space warfare throughout.
