Superhero/Espionage: Can Bendis Pull It Off?

That wasn't the same Radioactive Man as the one in Thunderbolts.
Because 9% think it's too high, and shouldn't be cut! 9% of respondents could not fully
get their arms around the question. There should be another box you can check for, "I
have utterly no idea what you're talking about. Please, God, don't ask for my input."
Also, The Circle. Any good?
i actually flipped through that at the shop a little while ago. it didn't compel me enough to buy it, but that's hardly a really valid review.
I don't deny that I had just never heard of him until he showed up in New Thunderbolts #4 I believe. When I was first into comics, age 5-11, ALL I read were the 5 Spider-Man titles that came out at the time. Then I was out of comics from ages 12-20. From 20 until now I've been reading a whole shit ton of stuff. Chen-Lu was originally an Iron Man villain wasn't he? If that's correct then that would explain alot considering the only times I read the Iron Man ongoing was the Avengers Disassembled tie-ins, Civil War, and World War Hulk tie-ins.
You don't pick up the book BECAUSE it has epic boobs?

He was a member of the pre-Ellis Thunderbolts too
Ummm yeah. I'm aware of that which is why I mentioned the first time I ever saw him was in New Thunderbolts #4 which was the pre-Ellis Thunderbolts series.
Indeed they are. Her appearance is actually a counter-trope.
That'll show 'em!
It's also Paul Dini.
Some people also tend to really get on their moral/stuck-up high horse WAY TOO MUCH when it comes to their HOBBIES!
well, that may be, but i don't necessarily approve of the way women are often portrayed in comics and the only real thing i can do about it is vote with dollars and try to support comics i feel agree with my estimation of how women should be portrayed (manhunter, for example) and avoid cheesecakey fanservice comics as best i can. if you think i'm being too stuck-up or moralistic by doing so, well i don't know what to tell you then.
i genuinely don't mean this in an insulting manner, but you are the guy with the sig full of power girl's tits, so i'm not sure we're going to agree on this issue anyway.
what i liked about it was that it was basically exactly like reading an old issue by ostrander, in a good way. he just picked up at the same pace.
speaking of which, when is that showcase presents suicide squad collection coming out? it was solicited for like last november but then they pulled it and now it's just "tba". that sucks, because i fucking want that book.
So, short answer: I'm getting to it.
EDIT for 4-9:
Updated the Recommended list, and the title to reflect the discussion we had in Comic News about whether Bendis can pull off some of this superhero/espionage stuff with Nick Fury and some others during SI and Spider-Woman post-SI; and at the level of Brubaker or Rucka.
I think the art panels from MA #12 look cool, but words play a big part as well.
