I played the hell out of the first one on 360 while I was waiting for Halo 3 to come out, and when I picked it up, I honestly figured I'd begrudgingly play it because it was the only shooter with decent multiplayer out.
Boy was I wrong.
I ended up getting almost to the level cap without glitching much. I can't wait for R6:V2 to come out. I almost didn't buy COD4 a few weeks ago just because I knew I would probably be picking this up.
What kind of update will this be over the first one?
Apparently, it's based on the same engine, but the AI, level design, and graphics have improved. I didn't play the first one outside of the demo, but form what I gather, Ubisoft listened to feedback about the first one.
I have a used copy of the first one, and I have a copy of this pre-ordered. My college buddy and I are going to co-op the campaign for our first run through.
...
That's an idea.
Whoever has the gear to do it, a couple of guys need to Let's Play their first time through Vegas 2 in co-op mode. That would be a pretty interesting set of videos.
Frontlines was a HUGE dissapointment so Ill probably be trading that in for Army of Two on the PS3... Ill get Vegas 2 for the 360 to give the old girl some attention once in awhile.

this will be day one for sure and the online will be so awesome.
I can't wait for Vegas 2. I loved the multiplayer of the first game. This will be a day one purchase, too. I'll be looking forward to shooting you bitches in the face (or getting shot in the face; that's mostly going to be the case )

This game is MP only for me basically... the single player is cool but just gives me bouts of depression.

I'll probably be picking this up when I have to funds. Never owned the first one but I did play the hell out of the demo, so i'm hoping it's more of the same with improvements.
Is this going to be like GRAW2, where it's nearly indistinguishable from the first one? I get kind of leery when a sub-series of the Tom Clancy series spawns its own sub-subseries.
R6V had the shittiest ending ever but the MP was awesome even if the majority of times people only played fucking Calypso Casino.
R6V2 looks amazing but watching the developer commentary it looks like they kept the same matchmaking system which means after a while people are only going to be playing maybe three maps and two gametypes.

I've been an advocate for the game, but I find it hard to hold onto as well. I figure I'll give it until the end of next week to decide if I shall keep it or trade it in return for this.
Are we sure that there is no 4P coop campaign? That is balls if that is the case. My buds and I still play this online more than any other game...other than CoD4...and we loved doing the campaign. We are still going through the T-Hunts....
Can anyone confirm what the bonuses are in Vegas2 for doing certain things in the first game?

I'll probably get this at some point. I don't know if it will be day one or anything, though.
I've been told they redid the multiplayer experience system and really, really hope that's true because I hate the system in the R6V. I doubt I'll be able to resist the character customization for long, though, because that was great and it's a travesty it's not in more games.
No one wants to make a more proper OP? At least Nitsuj started something, I was beginning to worry that PA wasnt up for some Vegas action.
Perhaps I'll give OP a crack, I got time to kill today.
ill be buying this for sure. My only problem is deciding between pc and ps3. i got 1 on the pc and im glad i did because i heard the ps3 version ran like crap. Part of me wants to get 2 on the ps3 cuz of ease of use (no issues with installing / drivers / whatever the hell) but i know my pc can run it well (good rig and all) and i worry that the ps3 version will be gimped "just cuz"
meh.

I was pretty certain they said there would be co-op campaign mode, but I think it's only 3-player (to fit in with the story).

I have a feeling my decision was a smart one.

I own the first one, but never really got into the MP aspect of it. I really should go back and try it out.
Right now I gotta figure out what to trade in so I can get it.
