Lover Reef, a remix of Lava Reef from Sonic and Knuckles, is pretty good if you can find the instrumental version of it. Which for some reason I can't find on OCRemix.

How about Super Mario 64 - Sunken Suite?

Fair warning, if you're not into Electronic/Techno/whatever you call it, a lot of these remixes will just sound like they took the basic tune, and pretty much just added drum beats and horrible squawks and screeches all over the place. And I, of course, am not into those types of music, making browsing OCRemix quite painful.

But for the most part, most anything Ailsean has done is guaranteed quality. I've seen names of remixes that look silly or weird ("Terra in Black...? Oh jeez...") and then been completely encouraged simply because his name was there.

I cannot parrot enough how amazing Terra in Black is. But on top of that, Knights come marching in is an absolutely wonderful combination of Frog and Steiner's themes (from Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 9, respectively).

I like this rendition better to be honest.

OCRemix has cool stuff, but it's not always easy to find the better songs. VGMix was a Godsend in that regard, implementing a tier system where people could voice their opinions. Unfortunately, it went down for a long time, although it went back up not too long ago with an overhaul. It looks like a mess to browse now though which is unfortunate.

Protricity does a similarly good job of making something more original than 'loltechnofinalfantasy.' He is (was?) an enormous douche, and some of his tracks are bizarre, but what I linked earlier in the thread from him is pretty solid.

Ailsean gets massive bonus points for using kickass electric guitar rather than just synths.

    See this list. 4, 6, 10, 12, 13, 15, 21. Maybe 14, it's a bit uptempo but it lives up to its name.

Go find "You Are Not Confined" by Sonicade and "One Girl In All the World" in the Super Metroid remixes.

If you have ever played Chrono Trigger/Cross you should check out the Chrono Symphonic album. Website is http://chrono.ocremix.org/, I don't know how the downloads work there any more. Great stuff.

EDIT Actually I think I torrented it from somewhere
