Of course you are. You simply have to do it while in the midst of hectic battle, balancing the actions of consuming nourishment with those preserving your very life.
Kes has accepted that she isn't likely to convince Jalen to attack the Huokha right now, so shes sitting and contemplating stuff and will likely continue to do so until she notices Cikala/Sho looking for them. Of course since she has an awareness of 0, she probably won't notice them till they walk up to the fire.
Though if either Crow, Xie, or Jalen talks to her she will of course respond.
Also, if we're going to be forced to wander around lost for several posts because I once again ran off without arranging a meeting spot. (I hope not, but...)
Also, rules question: do Exalts suffer a -2 penalty when using skills in which they have no dots?
No.
"The Exalted and other magical beings are blessed by happenstance and intuition - they suffer no penalties when attempting a task in which they have no Ability." - page 106
Papillon, I pm'd your observations on the Town Hall. and as for searching for the rest of the group, don't waste more then a post on it. The town isn't that big anyway.
Something like "Hey, I think I heard them mention they were going to the riverbank, maybe we should look there?" Followed by, "Ahah. We have found them on the riverbank. (etc ...)"
If every little detail is narrated this game would just creep along (slower then it is already, which is mostly my fault.)
The point of my ramblings is this: don't narrate every insignificant detail of what is going on, just hit the high points. For Example: Nobody wants to read a page and a half of how somebody searches a room in excruciating detail. Searching a room is something to be described in a sentence or three at most. The same with moving through a town to meet up with the others.
Ahava and Arcanis hadn't replied when I started composing my message... so if it looks like I'm ignoring what they said, that's why.
Basically, what I want to know is how many of them there are, and how competent of fighters they seem to be. I'm guessing the first shouldn't be too difficult to find unless they've been purposefully concealing their numbers.; the second might be more difficult.
Lots of fun....
I love Destro....
just felt like saying that.

I have to pull the plug on Saga of the Rivers. My business due to my job is part of the reason but there are others.
I don't like to do this but I'm not having any fun and I have just been posting on autopilot for a few weeks. I thought it might get better but it hasn't, some of this is due to my problems with the plot I've cooked up, it's just not working. And, I don't want to keep giving a lackluster performance as a storyteller/gm/dm/what-have-you.
Crovax has pulled a Houdini and Brody is busy with other things, which just leaves Last Son, Papillion, and lonelyahava.
which brings me to something else. I know now that I don't like lunars and should have said "No Lunars" at the beginning of the game. I thought it might work, but time has proved me incorrect.
I'm sorry it has come to this, but I think it is for the best. I apologize for any inconveniences.
Perhaps another time.

Such a shame to see this die.
