Will this 8800GT be compatible with my PCI-E 1.0 mobo?

I could use some assistance in verifying if this card, which I intend on picking up today on my way back home, is compatible with my current motherboard, an ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi-AP, linked here.

I heard that PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible; but I need to be sure before purchasing the 8800GT. In the case it does work, will there be any noticeable decrease in performance?

    Yes it'll work, no you won't notice a performance difference.
