And you know what? If you're not (reasonably) lean, then you should be doing something about it anyway! These people aren't 85 years old, they're in their teens and 20s, so they should be in good shape anyway. It's incredibly easy to be in good shape if you're between 15 and 25.

When I say "reasonable" shape, I'm saying that the guy who plays Kilik is in BETTER shape than he needs to be to play that role, despite that Kilik in the game is way more muscular than that.

I don't think the point is looking attractive.

But you are right about the thing that they should do something about their shape. But for some people it isn't incredibly easy.

What I meant by "there are characters who aren't lean and attractive" was "if you are fat, you should cosplay as a character who is fat." You know, instead of dressing up as, like, a "fat version of Talim" or "Ivy Valentine if she just at ho-hos all day" or "Lina from The Slayers, except that she weighs 216 pounds" or whatever.
