The website also doesn't look particularly professional and having a three-year-old as the only human being pictured on the site using the laptop was probably not the best of ideas. Somebody didn't think this launch through.
I don't really mind the top panel being thicker, I mean hell for that price and a longer battery life than the Eee at the moment I'm considering pre-ordering one. Also yes, tablet!
I'm not sure its actually a touch screen.
Under input on this page, it only lists the keyboard and "2x mouse emulators, one on the back for Tablet use." I'm guessing this means the only tablet functionality it has is the ability to fold back the keyboard and look like a tablet, and its controlled by the mouse emulator on the back and not via the screen.

Yeah, it's not a tablet PC. I googled elonex one reveiws and read three or four of them and no one mentioned tablet functionality. It's just a detachable keyboard setup.
It's also only a 300 mhz processor, which means it's slower than the XO OLPC machine.

I don't like how the monitor panel is significantly thicker and heavier than the keyboard panel. That looks like a serious design flaw.
I agree. Its an incredibly unattractive computer and I don't see any advantages it has over the Eee other than price.

tablet!!!
I'm horrible with this. I guess I'll just check but this looks pretty cool.
I don't think it does.
But still, I'll trust the rest of the stuff written to say that there is a tablet.
it doesn't denote anything about it's functionality as a tablet.

Well yes, and if it cost more then it would lose its appeal. Lose-lose.
Could scrap the keyboard.
