they had taken a lot a lot of weed (one is a serious supplier for the area) and done that one process that makes it hash oil
so they had a fair amount of 98% thc oil
and they heated up a knife, dipped a pin in the oil and pressed the pin and the knife together in the bottom of a bottle that had the bottom sawed off
it was pretty damn sweet looking

funny that you would say that because this dude explained the whole process to me and that was part of it
apparently at some point in the process you cook the alcohol out of the hash oil to get it absolutely pure. if you don't cook it, it can be sprayed in a bowl or used a dip. however, once the alcohol has been cooked out, it was way too pure to burn, and you couldn't dip a cigarette in it, and you could put it in a bowl but it corroded your piece much faster or something. so basically once it is in this state your only option is to hot-knife it or use it very sparingly on rolling tobacco.
