Feed the Head: Give it some time, you'll figure it out.

Ran into this neat little game today.

http://www.feedthehead.net/

I won't say much else, just really neat, give it a try.

For after you're done playing:
Reminds me of Grow, but without the stupid entirety-of-the-gameplay-rests-on-experimentation-and-more-experimentation thing.

But aside from that, I thought it was a fantastic games-as-art exhibition, and the one thing that really drew me was the eventual laborious complexity of the character, how some of the most minimal elements of the game (like the elephant nose) had the most impressive programming behind them, and how every single sphere had an effect, and they stacked. At the end of the game, the first sphere you tried's effect still worked, you know? And yet you had no idea there would be so much, because when you started, it looked so minimalist.

It was cute, too. Very imaginative. As one redditor said:

you can feed it back to him. the use of the door in the top of his head will become apparent later.

hint: try tapping on his forehead, and yanking his nose. that will get you started

and yes, there is an 'end'.

Maybe I'm out of touch... But I thought the game was a waste of my 5 minutes. This is why I try and steer away from the indie thread, because if something like this is hailed as amazing... I can't imagine the "okay" games in there.

    But that's just me though.

If you only spent five minutes on it, you probably didn't figure anything out. You barely even scratched the surface.

    ***SPOILERS***
Get to the part where you have a full head of hair, a propeller for a nose, six animal feet coming out of the top of you head all playing catch with each other (with beach balls) while the head is jumping hurdles, and you've discovered the other guy inside of you, that has a bird inside of him, that has an alien inside of it, that has a keeps a planet with him, on which lives a worm, and they're all kinda tired, and then we'll talk.
    ***SPOILERS***

I put it right in the thread title, dude. You gotta give it some time and figure it out.

I got to a point where:
Some elephant nose was grabbing the balls I put in there, and then I opened up the head and had some hand come out of the ear and hold the string, and I started throwing balls up there and they were kicking them.

Yeah... If that's artsy, I'm glad I'm not a part of that.

You need to hit the forehead, watch the movie and grab the green ball and fed it to him. Keep cutting off the hair until all of it appears.
