it's probably because Vegeta's the most popular character and when he's not directly involved in a fight they needed to have him doing something
even if it is usually just whining about how Goku is stronger than him

I also found out today the reason why there is so much extended yelling and grunting throughout the series.
The episodes were made at the same time as the manga.
So they were turning 15 pages of material into 30 minutes of television.

yeah, that's something I was aware of and never really bother to point out to the people who make the grunting jokes
why take away their reason to live?
that said the manga proceeds at a much faster pace
and Akira Toriyama's art is way prettier unanimated.
especially the covers
even though they were things that had nothing to do with the story within
it's all american'd out but you get the idea

I've only seen the manga once, when some dude in high school brought it to the debate class (we did nothing in debate class).
I was stunned by the lack of exposition and filler pages.
And how it looks exactly like the anime. Exactly.

The whole intro to the second episode in season 2 (right after The Monarch has broken out of jail and calls up 21 and 24... with the whole dum duming of Mars) is just about the greatest thing ever.
That's honestly one of my favourite moments in the series.

I had Mars, Bringer of War on CD when I had Cap and Nap in the car and we pulled up in front of Framling and Jordyn's place to pick them up to go to Rank's last summer.
I am very much stoked for the new season (June first is what they told me). I hope we see plenty of 21 and 24 because they are my favorite characters besides Dr. Orpheus.

It started off kind of cheesy with just 21 humming the song, but then 24 accompanies him and adds the horn. It's so perfect.
This particular scene is good cause it takes a joke, and then goes farther with it to make it better. A lot shows either stop too soon, or end up going too far with it. Usually the latter.
the line for the panel was a fucking beast. and it started so late, it delayed the Quick Stop panel with JoCo.
Luckily, I got to see both :-D
The line was worth it for the preview video but Sarah and I left once the fans started asking questions. Like the guy who asked if Otto Aquarius was based on a character from the Tick (I'm pretty sure he was referring to Sewer Urchin). No dude, they're both kinda spoofs on this little-known character called Aquaman.
I didn't really have any questions to ask so we got outta there.
The guy who does Doc Venture's voice actually talks like him in real life, which is funny. The rest of the cast seems to speak through the character but that one guy just seems like he IS Rusty Venture 24/7.
oh cool
i just started watching this show a few weeks ago
actually i started like a year ago with just one or two eps and didnt like it
so just started really watching it a few weeks ago

This is true.
It's just something I noticed.
Whenever they need a bitch exposition, he's the goto guy.
Of course, this thread has gotten me scouring youtube for fight scenes now.
