I think we should also allow the game to end if all remaining players concede the game to one country. Why not allow concession to a coalition? It's unfair if one of the coalition members was planning on achieving solo victory (either by backstabbing the other member, or by just getting enough supply centers to win without backstabbing their ally).
If you're going to follow the letter of the law, which is usually desirable in a rule-intensive game like Diplomacy, concession of victory is technically impossible. It's easy enough to bypass though; just don't submit any orders and tell Italy that you won't be submitting anything.
Considering England isn't willing to surrender to a joint victory, and since I doubt JPP is going to want to surrender to my solo victory, I suppose a few more turns are in order.
Also, seeing as it isn't technically within the rules, I suppose we'd need our host's approval for any sort of concession in the future.

Oh no, Diplomacy is not a joint victory game. There will be one winner here, or a bunch of losers, not a bunch of winners.

If everyone in the game agreed one player was going to win, could we concede the game to that single player though?
That you can do, yes.

I won't be very active for the next week but I'll try to send in orders.
Technically it's an army, but yeah, that's where I would have gone to in your case as well. You can hold out there until 1910 or so.
Edit: Orders are up, builds due by Tuesday. Austria is three SC's away from victory.

Of course, that would rely on two improbabilities:
1) Russia sends orders every year.
2) I, for some odd reason, decide I want to help Italy.

I consider that a bonuss. *shrugs*
Sorry about the long silence there, I should have done this post several days ago.
