    I've never played System Shock 2 and I never plan to so I thought Bioshock was pretty good.

    Fresh coat of paint, you say?

    The attention to detail? The themeatic overtures throughout the entire thing? The fact that every bit of design was carefully chosen?

    How is it dumbed down in any way? The hacking is actually a better minigame by far, the story is just as involving (if not more so, as it has more interesting themeatic elements to it, instead of "2001: Redone"), the weaponry is about on par (though ammo is slightly more prolific), and the powers are just as fun.

    System Shock 2 is pretty fun. I would consider myself a fan.
