Vampire Bloodlines Issue

So, started this game again, maybe I'll actually finish it this time...

Anyways, I'm having a problem I always do. When I move my character will continue to move even after he should of stopped. I know this is a process problem and I know the fix is to basically set the priority to high for the mouse/keyboard process in the task manager, however, I can not remember what the name of that process is!

Anyone that can lend me a hand here?

I've never heard that fix as a solution to your problem. Not to mention I'm not sure how you'd "raise the priority of your mouse and keyboard" anyway...

But what does typically work to fix that problem is:

    1) Set the program's affinity to one core

    and

    2) Adjust the program's priority (usually to high or realtime, but IIRC someone fixed theirs by setting it lower, too)

How much of a lag is it? The HL2 engine have always had a small, but noticeable one.

I started playing HL2:Ep2 last night and, as always, it took some getting used to. It feels a bit like walking on ice all the time

Turns out changing the compatibility to Win98 also solves this problem.
