Making more than the customary (1) goodbye post in the game thread after you are killed is against the Rules of the game. Dead players are not allowed to talk about the game or any of the mechanics in any of the threads in the forum. Failure to comply will result in a tempban by me.

Spoiler:

-Players who have not casted a vote within two days can and very likely will be killed for inactivity, seen in the results as 'jailed', or possibly another means of death. Their roles will be revealed, and they will be removed from the game.
Posting in the thread without a vote does not make a player 'active'.

I'm generally not that harsh on inactivity, but due to the player roster, abstaining from voting will result in making the game unfairly difficult for those who contribute, so it will be dealt with as necessary.

You don't have to post religiously or anything, but it's bound to be more helpful for the crew than just placing a vote.

-Vote retractions can be done in the same color, i.e. !retract Hylianbunny / !vote Christine

You don't have to retract your vote; if you make a new vote without retracting the old, I'll just count the newest one, but it'll make my life easier if you do.

Day 9 - Absentee Management


"Captain! CAPTAIN!" Koan ran across the deck in a near panic, using his coat as cover from the violent rain.

"Confound it all..." The man gave a sigh, and opened the container of rum in his hand, making the best of the few drops that were left inside.

"Guess it can wait till morn'-" The half-finished sentence was replaced by a choking sound, as a thin spike of hardened material impaled Koan through the chest. With a hacking laugh, the killer thrusted the arm-weapon off to the side, tossing the gutted remains of the sailor to the deck, Koan's eyes left frozen in an open, dead stare.

"Nope, haven't seen the Cap'n anywhere, meself," Centipede Damascus gave a disinterested shrug, and gestured passively at the deck above. "Ship seems to be doin' fine for now... what with the calm of the storm and all." The sailor paused, and gave the uniformed man a look, as if finally noticing what was off about the person addressing him... particularly, the massive rifle he wielded.

"Not safe for you to be carryin' that thing around, mate."

"You're right, of course... you can have it." The taller individual turned the weapon about, and thrust the pointed end of the bayonet into Centipede's throat.

Pausing only to wipe the murder weapon clean with a single brush of his handkerchief, the man continued on, discarding the bloodied cloth along the way.

"Y' wouldn't make a man walk the plank unless ordered, would ya?" Grundlterror did his best to plead with the mob that had gathered behind him, slowly but surely spurning him towards the dark sea.

It seemed his efforts fell on deaf ears.

Grundlterror clearly had no intention of moving unless spurned onward, so it was the weight of numerous thrown objects that did the trick.

The sailor might have kept his footing, had not the cannonball thrown by a particularly strong crew member shattered the wood beneath his feet, sending Grundlterror spiralling into the ocean below.


The crew went about their business, little of which involved any real work, until they realized Captain Belruel had returned.

"Back to work! There's still headway to be made while the weather's on our side!"


They seemed in no real hurry to do as the Captain demanded, until two rounds from a pistol did the talking.

The mob dispersed, leaving the corpses of Javen and Seriously dead on the deck as they spurned The Phalliant closer towards its supposed destination.


For the first time in uncounted hours, land was visible in the distance, though the skies did not brighten.

I'm up for a new captain, but it suddenly occurs to me. When Koshian suggested it, it seemed like a good idea at face value. However, seeing as how it has basically distracted all of us to the point all we really do is argue about how damn suspicious the captain is, I realize what a brilliant strategy it is. Still Bel sucks gets her out, but also

that is a very good point, and you realize that he was pushing to be captain at the beginning, but all of a sudden he doesn't even mention himself to be captain while he is espousing the idea of getting new ones in.

this would make him appear to be just helping, and hopefully the idea would stick without anyone paying much attention to who is giving the advice. koshian has been sticking to the sidelines, barely piping in here enough to be present without being at the front of anyone's minds.

anyone have a link to fishman's post about koshian? he brought up a lot of good points through that analysis.
