It draws inspiration from D&D, but as I've said, it's not an attempt to adapt a specific fiction

Most people start with a theme and then make mechanics; I did the reverse

Obviously the best way to not negotiate is to blow up a large portion of the crew.

Just a general phalla question, but when people have sequel or trilogy phallas, is it a continuation of the last phalla, or of the source material?

For example, if there were a Star Wars phalla and the good guys lost, would the narrations in the Empire Strikes Back phalla need to reflect this (thus dramatically changing the premise of the source material)? If Luke dies in the first one, can his character be used in the second? Can game mechanics be changed in between games?

It depends on what you want to do. If you go in ahead of time wanting to do one with an ongoing story that's affected by the actions of the players, it might be best to keep some characters dead as you go, and come up with a good reason for their continued existence.
