As someone unfamiliar with the first game, that trailer does absolutely nothing to interest me in the sequel because it gives me no fucking clue what it's about.
Aside from there apparently being a pig in it. And some flies I guess.
Reminds me that I reformatted and installed XP so I could play BGAE.
Also, because I couldn't stand vista, but I did really want to play BGAE. Didn't get very far before something else caught my attention though.
The first one was pretty dang good. Never really understood the extent of the net love though. I guess it's just what happens when a good game comes out that no one plays.

pretty self explanatory
basically you're a pig and you have to catch 100 flies in your nose before you can take a nap
also there's a lady under an umbrella and she likes to sit and do nothing
It gets a lot of love because it was unique. A genuinely interesting and enthralling world that was wildly against the norm for the time it came out - where nearly every game around was doing a gritty post apolcalyptic sombre doomsday type schtick - or sci-fi realism.
Hence the adoration the first game gets - because it was less than spectacular in sales (though I've heard it wasnt as bad as many think at all) people support it because they want this kind of innovation.
Even Ubi themselves are one of the biggest culprits of that cut/paste mantra that has dominated game design since like ever - so when they come out with something new in every sense with a high level of polish it is like a glimmer of hope for games.

if you catch a fly just right peter molyneux will come to your house and spit in your ear
I really liked the first one. Not the best game of all time like some people claim, but seriously good.
And worth much more than the budget price I paid for it, I thought at the time

I never thought this game would see the light of day.
Holy. Shit.
I'm afraid to click that spoiler. I'm not sure I want to know. I'll just keep trying to fuck everything. -- trentsteel

Then again I played it years after it came out, so maybe it's like my relationship with Half-Life.

But yeah, I loved the first one, and this one will have better graphics and what seems like a classic post-apocalyptic(sorta?) setting, so I'm in.
