So, WLK is ages away, new games and burnout are drawing away from your standard crew, and your pool of recruits has either shrunk to 0, or seems to be filled with people who probably have trouble getting dressed each morning without strangling themselves.

I hate the fact that when they say invites go out at x people take thier sweet ass time showing up for a raid
I show up at that time ready and able to go and wait 30 minute or more while you finish your porn or whatever
Some nights take a little longer than others because we're tweaking for a boss, but by and large it cuts down on the 'sit down and do nothing and wait' time.

Yeah I don't know why they're so bitchy about it. I mean we're all bitchy about people with spotty attendance and your whole "I don't have a home" thing has made your lifetime attendance look pretty bad, but still. You did post and mention that you'd be leaving early. When it's one of Bahl's buddies who wants to leave after an hour, it's no problem because hey they told him! Even though we might have had someone who could stay the whole night sitting out, it's fine, because they told him. :roll: Never mind him showing up late and his girlfriend leaving an hour or two early every night this week because she stays up all night playing and then is too tired for raids. :roll: :roll: Yet last night he's bitching about why you weren't taken off the attendance for Sunday since you "left early."
Our paladin OT actually did this last night. We were about to pull and he's like "Shit, I have to go pick up my niece, I'm AFK." No one noticed until I had to roll on shoulders for him. Which I failed at. ;__;

I remember a dps warrior would talk on and on about how his girlfreind would sit in his lap or give him a blow while playing.
Oh gods i hate those people. We've got a guy in our guild who regularly holds the entire fucking raid up starting because he likes to go have a shower before he starts raiding, i swear if i was an officer i'd be swinging a hatchet around.

I bet a ret paladin could do it, ours is constantly typing stuff in /say mid-fight because he has nothing better to do.

Positive note is 45%ish on this first evening of serious learning. Can already see who is weak at "hai go into the portal NOW", and who is fairly bad at "this tank is up top, this tank is down below, where are you?"
Interesting little setup for a fight, but definetly fun times.

Interesting... and going AFK on Mother is no biggie. Hell I've gone AFK while tanking Mags. I had a huge threat lead and the pizza guy was there....
That'd be because there are long cooldowns between abilities. I can type out things on my pally, but not my hunter
EDIT: And you can ghost join vent channels, where you can't talk but you do hear everything that goes on.

Is that different from creating a Phantom, because the Phantom is visable to all of the users?
It's amazing how many fewer traffic, dinner, etc delays there were. We usually have around 35-40 people on at raid invite time now.
It's the same thing, and AKAIK it's available to all users too.

Yep, we used that with keybindings for a while for side conversation stuff.
I'd be way too worried using binds to talk to specific people, like at some point I'm sure I'd hit the wrong key and make an ass of myself. Like the time my mom called while I was doing AB and I kept hitting push-to-talk anyway but didn't hear people yelling at me cos I'd muted Vent.

We used to handle blessing assignments pre-Pally Power. It worked out okay, I don't recall any of the paladins screwing it up but others did sometimes.
Spare Scrolls for trade
Cliques are fine, they're expected, and there's nothing wrong with making people earn the right to be included, but if a raid crew has information that's not reaching certain members due to high-school'esque friend circles, they're just harming themselves, and in turn, the crew as a whole.
One main is on vacation for a month, the other is flying from the US to NZ for medical treatment as his kidneys are dying, and its cheaper over there or something.
We have three resto shammy.
One showed up this week, one is moving, one is deathly ill and is high as a kite (Hi Transporter!)

Not fixed...his Spriests are getting shot. That's taking PvP way too seriously.
In my old guild back when MC was still new and I was maining a rogue. All of the rogues had a special bind to talk with each other and a few times the class leader would hit his normal push to talk button, followed by a few seconds of silence and, "oh crap I just said that to everyone didn't I? You all probably think I'm crazy now."
But did he die though? Getting shot doesn't necessarily mean dead. Might have been an non-essential body part. Like a toe.
I have an aversion to getting shot. And sure it might be a flesh wound but I don't want to die because I was depending on someone else's poor aim. That's super low on my list of ways I want to go out. In fact I'm pretty sure you have to get out of the top 100 to find a way to die that doesn't involve a bed.
He's a SWAT officer or something and apparently got shot in the leg with a shotgun by someone he hadn't shot properly.
And I am also pretty excited about the shitty resto druid getting kicked, he was terrible D:
