Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
I've been teaching myself Excel and building some 4e resources in the process. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to share the fruits of my labor. I've made a:
Treasure Generator:
Exp Calculator and "How much xp the encounter should be worth" table
and a very basic "Monster Generator" which may or may not still have some kinks. You'll have to put in the ability scores yourself, but it should be able to help out from there.
If you have Excel or Numbers and would like it, PM me.
Oh, also, I had an idea the other day.
Looking for a graphical frontend, I realized that my OS itself might be able to do the job well. I took screengrabs of the monsters in the manual so that I can search and bring them up with quicklook with the touch of spacebar:
and then copied the monsters I want into folders designated to each encounter. Using icon view and label colors, I can keep track of formation, position, hp, and other effects.
So, how about you all? As we wait for the DnDInsider resources to come, have you come up with any resources with which to organize, design, and create more effectively?
