Sorry if I mangled any characters. I couldn't find a way to fit Natalie in, don't have that character really in my mind yet and a little hard to do right I think atm.

You guys should be taking care of some introductions of sorts, and through OOC/IC let me know who the leader of your group is. If you have a name, now would be a good time to work it out. (Maybe ICly!) But I at least need to know who officially started this group, because someone had to, and then we can get an idea of who was hired how etc.

You'll be arriving at Himyr shortly. I am not sure how far along we'll get, I may not be ready for the encounters I have in store by tomorrow, but I figure we will have an IRC session regardless. Are people cool with that?

And I'll vote for Zho as the leader who kind've just forced her way into power when nobody else could be bothered to object.

Lookinng at the backstories and traits and such, either Celtis or Imnon are probably the most likely to have been driven to establish the group. Maybe Celtis with a bit of an edge in dealing with the group's more uncouth characters.

Natalie might work too, in a minorly cultish sort of way with recruiting people to fight the crazies. Not sure how much everyone else would want to go along with that, though.

I think we may have to defer the session for Monday till another day this week, or next Monday, in order to get all straightened out. Sorry that it took a while to get started, but between that and Father's Day things aren't looking like we'll get to the point I want by tomorrow evening.

What are people's schedules like this week? Please post so that we have an alternative if we need it, if we can't find one then we'll push it back a week and have the PbP to expand upon in the meantime.

Also, create yourself a token (round, 128x128 using TokenTool) or Frosteey will kill you. :^:


edit: Hrm, maybe instead of postponing the game, if we aren't ready for the Maptools session ICly tomorrow then maybe we'll do an orientation day? I'll run your characters through some combat and we'll get tokens and everything all sorted?

I'll likely be giving out XP for IC thread posts on Sundays, based on player vote, along the lines of how I run things IRL. I reserve some XP to give out as appropriate during the week, as done above, but there's no guarantee or limit on that stuff.

Are players able to make another Maptools session this Tuesday evening to continue the prequel?

I'd like to not run so late for people. I have tomorrow off though. (It's my turn to work on the weekend so Wednesday is off.)

8pm CST is my default start time, if we can't get rolling until 9pm CST (10pm EST) though for some then that's fine too.

Random location:

A man riding a horse rides up to the group, and cries that he needs assistance. He says that goblins have overrun his home-place, and he and his two paid guards were ambushed along the way. He has several effects of importance to him that he needs to get, even though he barely escaped with his life. Callum and Bleez conclude that this is an opportunity for cash, Celtis points out something (forgot), and Natalie wonders as well.

After a conversation with the man that gets a little more detail (PAY), they head off and find the wagon and a body in a ditch. Zoe hops in the ditch, Callum acts needlessly cautious for the moment and eventually there is a path where the man's treasure and one other body have possibly been taken off to. Commernce skill challenge failure, and ambush. There is a bear involved, even though it closely resembles and fights like a wolf. It is a bear.

Bleez kills things savagely, Zho and Natalie work their thing and Callum does some stuff too. Celtis misses, and enjoys it... thoroughly. Tide of battle eventually changes and Callum says to focus fire the nearest goblin to kill it, and he decides it's time to run away. The goblin furthest way dies before this goblin does, to say the least. We won't mention the extra rounds that happened after.

Currently Callum has a bolt in his gut and is @ 21/26 HP. Natalie was scratched for 4, Celtis is bloodied with 12/31 (+3 Temp) though that will be fixed if we resume playing.

I think that sums it up.
