There was no way for Shu to win after 3 days ago. We had lost all our vigs and we only had 1 person who could guard. At that point I basically gave up.
Fuck you, Nion. You win "most broken game mechanic" award.
The funny thin is that every one knew that the vote was going to get a veto if it landed on a Wu. The only team to use this fact was the Wu. They used it to save Ryadic from the vote on day 6.
Why didn't any one else think to do that? A last minute switch of the vote to push a Shu in 1st and a Wu to 2nd would have meant death to that Wu. It's not like the Shu had most people on there team at any point in the game.

Yes, but you also had 3 Seers, 2 Guards, and a Vig, as well as 3 people who were pretty much invulnerable until Day 6, as well as two sleepers in case things turned out bad (Jiang Wei and Liu Shan).
(Not to mention Liu Bei knowing when people on Shu changed alliances and the one night of Shu having vig immunity)
I think it's the psychology of it that makes it bad game design rather than the game design aspect of it, if that makes any sense. The main way to influence the game is by your votes and when those became irrelevant, it's less interesting. Just my feeling on this, I said it in the dead thread and added that I think veto mechanics are annoying in general, because I do.

You know what would have really destroyed the Wu....
But, there were none.

49/54 people were specials in one way or another, so they had things other then the vote to influence the game. It may have been annoying but had Shu and Wei really wanted they could have put two Wu up for the execution Night 2.
It may have been a bad choice, but I wanted the factions to feel drastically different from each other. Shu wanting to survive, as well as being dependent on each others survival. Wei using kills and being ruthless. Wu messing with the votes and other tomfoolery. I wanted the sides to think differently from each other and the game to have lots of different things going on instead of three sides with the exact same powers.

I thought it was a great game Azn. Good job.
The one thing I hated about this game is that I gave up my spot to run a mini and then gave up my spot to play in a mini because I was still playing this game. Then that night you bastards killed me. :P

Well, for my first Phalla that was pretty fun. Especially since I still survived until the end. I'm just kinda wondering, how does one come upon the proboards?

The dead board has all the other proboards listed, people just need to open them up.

Man, what? With that the veto we were able to control one kill. ONE. How many did you guys control? Probably a lot more than that. If you were more coordinated you could have finished us off but you never hit our leader (thank you Lignisse). I think we won because we were able to make political treaties with the other factions (Lignisse, Infidel and also Wei for a bit) so we had control of some kills.
Plus evilbob finally got his kill at the end which helped us out.
I nailed two spies on my two nights of seering, and had a third one targeted when I died.
What gave me away?
Funnily enough, it was your response to my musings on what the Syndicate of Corrupters was. I figured you were one, and believing they were bad news, seered you because of it. Turns out I was right about you being one, but wrong about them being bad (for Wu, anyway). You being a spy on top of that was just gravy.

So... it was my own decision to completely ignore the fact I was a spy in my interactions that led to me being outed as a spy... HA!
Oh and day 1 a network formed of me, Infidel, and Locus. The seer, a serial killer, and a spy. I maintain that it was the worst network ever. Infidel has to unlock it though.

Hahaha, when I was given the link for that board and I clicked on members, I just laughed so hard.

How could you have joined Shu?

EDIT: That aspect, as a whole the game was entertaining, but frustrating as hell every night.
I think it was just the way it turned out.
Plus, we never told you about the Sima family vig kill, so you were under the impression that Wei had nothing when we actually did have something.
Man, my leader had nothing. Ling was just a boring boy emperor.

Ah well, still a fairly fun game. Thanks for hostin', azn.

Haha, you were extremely accurate .
Its hard for a serial killer who is seered night one and outed night two to still win. I was surprised and impressed that Infidel made it this far.
What gave me away?
Personally, I loved this game. Here's the Sima family proboard.

Great game Azn, I really enjoyed this one.
Whoops that was an error. No he was Shu.
I mean, even the vanillagers were part time vigs or masoned. Good stuff.

Yes haha.
To keep their attention off of Exarch?
(I wish you had told me about Exarch so I wouldn't have targeted him)

Good games people, and being involved in a lot of shit I feel that it was pretty balanced all told.
