Welp, I bought this on steam, and after a long and arduous battle, I got my CD-Key to work. I get into a game only to find that I don't have any models, just large turquoise boxes with some error message.

This is like the best RTS ever, and that's not even a joke. It is quite literally the best one I've ever played, and I've been playing since Dune 2.
I'd love to play with some of you guys. Haven't been playing it a lot lately, but I'm a fairly average player. Steam ID and Relic Online ID are both "darksteel1989." Yes, number names lol.

Panzer elite are so much fun, because i dont have to waste all my munitions on upgrades and bunkers
Building 25 goliath bombs and sending them to the enemy base after effortlessly hoarding munitions is the fucking best.
It's probably a shitty tactic but i'll be damned if it isnt a great plan.

when you pick the infantry brigade, you get this artillery gun that you can blind fire
now, if i build say two or three of those bastards while also taking runs at your base and doing those big arty bombardments it is safe to say i could fight a dude and constantly have his ass on the ropes

it hasn't worked yet but i'm digging the idea

at this point you'd be sploogin' money on the arty so defensive emplacements or rangers to protect against tanks and such are likely to be in low supply
the best way to do this idea would be multiple firebases as i've had my shit handed to me when they're bunched up

This game gets so epic. I like doing skirmishes just because the mission I'm on is frustrating, and my ally is getting hammered by panzers and jerry's boys on the left flank. Naturally, I've specialized in infantry. So I call in off-map reinforcements and they roll in in two shermans with a heavy machine gun squad and two ranger squads with tommy guns. Coupled with a barrage from my two howitzer emplacements we pushed them back all the way to their headquarters, which was summarily artillery striked.
edit: Does anyone else imagine, in their head... like... Saving Private Ryan-esque drama unfolding within the squads? I'm not saying I do, that'd just be... pfft. C'mon that's...
edit 2: Sniper placement can win battles. Seriously.

No we won but his base was bombed 5 times in a row without the team having howitzers in quick succession.
