Beardne

So, every time I think about growing some light sideburns or beard I am halted by the appearance of rather unsightly acne (It might not even be acne, just red spots) underneath the hair.

I finished a course of Acutane, I think it was, last year that completely cured my acne problems, but this bearne seems to be of a special variety.

Basically, do you guys have any tips on how I can keep the beard and ditch the red spots?

    Could be ingrown hairs.

    Second. My advice is thus:

warm up the face REAL GOOD.

shave with the grain first, then if you must, against after that.

use witchhazel right after before anything else.

    Then do whatever.

Works like a charm for me.

That is something I have suspected.

I have semi-jew hair which may be part of the issue. Any way to resolve that or am I just screwed?

Edit: Sounds good Double_Faces. However, since I want to grow it out a little, I won't be shaving much. Am I just stuck with them or can they be fixed without shaving everything off again and letting it grow in proper?

it would be easier to start over, or just scrub the ever lovin' shit out of it.

Try moisturizer, and yah, scrub your beardling but good, shampoo it etc just like hair. Moisture and oil buildup can cause a dry red rash underneath your hair if you don't watch out for it.

Witchhazel? Wichhazel?!? Who the heck are you, Seymour Skinner's mother?

The little red dots are most likely caused by a buildup of oil and other crap on your skin. Happens when a beard is first coming in. Just shampoo the hairs and wash your face for a few days and you'll be fine

A good antibacterial aftershave works wonders too
