Fair enough.
But the one I was at in Seattle was not so great. I don't remember what franchise it was.
We watched WALL-E at the Alamo Drafthouse. It's kind of hard to eat and watch a highly visual movie. I probably should have ordered something more along the lines of a finger food.
You totally were not following the castle doctrine outlined in the manual. That's why they turned on you.
Also, James, I'm disappointed; you were here, and didn't even bother PMing me?
I just wish the Houston locations weren't both out in the middle of nowhere on the same side of town.
Barrels of oil. I'd be glad to sell you some.
Gravel.
. . .
Yeah, we have unpaved roads here.
But I'm looking for a paving material.
Won't work up here because of frost heaves though
Isn't there maybe some other doctrine that allows me to intervene if someone is shooting cops?
If it's any consolation I didn't PM anyone. I was only down for a few days with my aunt and cousin, so I wasn't very mobile. We basically saw Foo, went to a few malls, and left
I might be down again at the end of the summer with my brother, though!
That was my thought too.
I'm fishing around on google and striking out. It seems like the only experiments in paving materials are being done to produce water permiable pavement to help urban areas control runoff.
so was that asshole who posted that big spoiler before getting banned lying?
i never found out what it was
I lived for four years in Rochester, NY. "Snowing" was the least of the hellish weather.
No, game over. I win. Flawless victory.
Dude, you're stealing their fucking kills. Nobody likes kill-stealers.
A 3 cm coat of asphalt uses less than the all asphalt paving we are using right now.
Apparently the concrete core is more durable and resistant to frost heaves than pure asphalt roads. It just needs to be protected from road salt and weathering.
More expensive up front.
Everything is more expensive up front.
I mean, if you do it right. No one ever does it right, though.
Seriously, our roads would last way longer if we'd allow them to sit for the week or so necessary for the asphalt to set. But we won't do that, because it would inconvenience people.
Apparently the concrete is more resistant to heaving, provided it is protected from the elements.
