ground beef, browned with diced red onion and fresh rosemary
tossed in a huge handful of asparagus, green beans, carrots, mushrooms and a can of sweet corn
let that simmer for a while with a lid on to soften the vegetables while I boiled up some potatoes
then I mashed the spuds, added a packet of mushroom gravy powder (I know, I know, but it was quick and easier this way) to thicken it, added the beef mix to a pan, spread the mashed potatoes on top and the topped with sharp cheddar
just pulled it out of the oven to cool enough to eat
oh my god it smells awesome, except for the smoke from the cherry pie that boiled over from earlier this weekend

what im saying is id like to see a tv chef talk about fresh ingredients and then bring on a live animal
or if they really want they can talk about organic farms and humane treatment and slaughter as a social responsibility
and then they gotta hack off the head with an axe and stick one of the feet in its mouth like the kids did
see it would be the best way to make people think about humane slaughter
or becoming vegetarians
