Ha, I did the exact opposite. I got the headset, and am now looking for a mouse.
Did you install the flange and wax ring? Then you probably did ok.
I replaced my toilet recently, and the thing was sitting on a lead pipe which caused it to leak as the lead warped since its so soft. Old flange tore up the lead pipe pretty bad when we removed it, eventually we just cut it off to the iron and put PVC in there with a rubber coupling.
