I will point out that WoW is much, much better with the right add-ons.
I know, you shouldn't have to download third party software to make a game work right. That's a valid criticism.
What I've found is that by getting a mapping add-on plus a quest tracking add-on (I use Lightheaded + Cartographer), my downtime is virtually zero while I'm solo-questing. Basically, I fill up all the quests I can in a zone, then I go through Lightheaded and click all the location coordinates for all the quest objectives. They show up on my map as waypoints. Then I look at it and do a circuit around the zone. Complete one quest, go to the next. Repeat until I've done a circle around the whole zone and completed basically 10 quests. Return to NPCs, turn in all 10 quests at once, and by that time I've easily dinged.
All the characters i play now are alts so i do the same thing, just without the addons (Cartographer is amazing though).
