Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it,
follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given
their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!

Sometimes the marker's more of a suggestion than a strict direction to follow.
OH YEAH?
*narrates it so you have the party walking around a rock* ;p
Wait. Maybe he'll just climb out.
It's kind of funny that Ousaniel has risked herself to assist you given your scores (and it being IC to do so) and you killed that first check so much.
Oh and the DC for these checks is 21.
And since we only made one save each, I assume we're both still taking DPS from being in the trap? Like, being crushed by sand-pit-mud-stuff, or whatever?
crushed and baked. the sand is very hot.
using the gloves would like, throw him horizontally into the walls of the pit. which, while I think is funny... Finn wouldn't like.
edit: you would need a roll. Sorry I just noticed that you posted this, not Anialos. ;p
Treat it as a +2 bonus. If he does roll to pull you, then it would count as a success if he is successful.
Ousaniel probably won't need it, but Finn does have Knack for Success, which can give +4 on any one skill check.
Ousaniel's probably the best bet to guide us to the building, what with her +20 on perception, even if she is a bit beat-up. Maybe tie a rope to her so we can haul her out any other trouble she gets into?
Tasty, is it possible to roll perception or history to see a pattern? If they were set up by a military force, Endaren or I may have learned about this dispersal at some point, which might give us a bonus to avoiding them. The player asked. Politicking for the party's lives as hard as possible.
Are there mines inside the building, or are they strewn between where we are and everywhere?
- You are able to see the mines that you can see with your perception check already.
- As far as you can tell, the interior of the building consists of darkness and sand blowing inside. It makes an ominous howling sound as it blows in and out of windows. Or... is that the wind?
edit: Just to clarify, this means that you don't need to roll to see a pattern in them. Their positions are clear... you got a perception 33.
Well, part of me wants to forge ever onward, but I'm a good little soldier, so I'm gonna pass it up the chain.
Man... what the hell? it's almost like the RNG wants me wreck you guys.
Anyhoo, this may get transferred into the IC thread, but the mines are as follows (via dungeoneering):
A fragile container with equally fragile stems that, when broken will expose its primed contents to the air, causing detonation. The liquid within is likely alchemical fire or acid. Some variants have blastpatch in the stems, for that extra wallop.
Will hold for response from others before doing anything further though.
douchebaggood way.wow.
was Keegan trying to disarm one of the mines?
Yeah. Translation: "Mines? I can probably deal with that." ... ... "Hmmf. We may have a problem."
Not all of you newbies haven't been christened yet.
Sooo... other ways in? I don't suppose we could just... hop over the mines, or something?
What mines? <3
UPDATE LATER TODAY~~~~~~
Endurance=20, 24, 33
Yey for rolling under 10 four times, three of that under 5...
Acrobatics and Endurance:
Acrobatics: 38 39 27
Endurance: 12 17 13
I guess this is the trade-off for being an invisible gun-halfling in the last battle.
I'm okay with that.
