Then I sometimes do it with cooking a good meal. Get the best ingredients...maybe a del monico steak, cauliflower mash, a nice shiraz.
Or even as simple as taking a half hour and just jamming on my harmonica when nobody else is home.
just going out and driving for an hour or two with no real goal in mind is one of the sure-fire ways to clear out whatever shit that is floating around in my head

Yea, before I head out I inform family members there is a risk i'll be taken and eaten if I break down.
A smooth down shift from 4th to 3rd and just hammering it out around a long bend in the road and just dropping it right back into 4th.
One of my favorite drives is always the Saw Mill River Parkway in NY late at night. I highly recommend finding a reason to run the whole thing.
