Little Kitten Needs a Name - Solved, but cute kitten pics inside. :P

I know everyone loves these threads for the cute, so help me name the kitten I found. >.>

Found her out roaming and mewing right after a rain, she looked pretty starved so I got her some food and rinsed her down. Taking her out for shots at the vet this week, but until then, she's living in my laundry room. She was really loud at first, not liking being cooped up... but she seems pretty content now.

Not sure how old she is... thinking about 7-8 weeks since she's still a bit clumsy and rather easy to catch.

Anyways, on with the pictures!
Spoiler:
Spoiler:

We had originally thought she was a boy, and hubby suggested the name Lint since she likes to climb behind the dryer and the silver-ish fur makes her look like lint... but it doesn't seem to fit as well now that we know she's a girl. :P Storm was another suggestion, but I'd like to hear more, everyone here seems to come up with good names. :)

Brimmy, short for Brimstone. You know, what with the thunder 'n' brimstone going on when you found her.

    I got nothing.

You've come to the right place. As someone with much experience in the naming and shaming of kittens I have discovered the below to be the bestest names for kitties.

I am of the opinion that all black cats should be named Lucky if they have no other distinguishing features.

We had one named Buzz once due to the way he meowed. He was a great cat.

I had a cat once, and called her Minerva. Minny, or Nervy for short.

Well, for distinguishing things... she can be quite loud despite her tiny frame. She yowled for a few hours when I first left her alone in the laundry room, but now has quieted and seems to be enjoying her luxurious towel on the floor.

She learned how to climb up the wall behind the dryer, by pushing her back against the dryer and climbing up the wall... which was entertaining when I came by to check on her and couldn't find her.

She also likes to crawl into the storage closet in there, and hide, though she's been out hanging out every time I've come by to mess on her now, I think she's starting to get that I'm not going to let her starve in there. :P

My other two cats, both neutered males, are rather wary around her. The oldest (7), Ike, a grey/white/brown tabby, tends to just sniff her curiously... the younger (5), Guen, a totally black cat, seems to hate her guts as of yet, hissing and growling whenever she gets close... though I think that's just him being jealous of mommy paying attention to someone else.

I have taken to calling her their illegitimate gay baby... since she has a mix of their markings. >.> But I don't think that would be a good name. ;-)

I do like Minerva and Ginger so far though, I'll toss those at hubby in the morning, keep em coming! :)

Edit: Ahahahaha Downy is pretty good too!

What's wrong with illegitimate gay baby? The acronym is IGB which is pronounced as Eye-Gee-Bee, which sounds completely cute and cat-like.

    Doooo eeet.

I think under the circumstances that she was found (starved and in the rain) perhaps "Blues" would be a good name.

That would be a fairly ironic name, as all she does is purr and knead, even while she's wandering around, she'll still be kneading the floor.

Ollie the weather cat is awesome though.

And IGB too. :P List compiling for hubby when he wakes up. >.>

Cats are more likely to become responsive to being called by name if that name includes S's and an "ee" sound, especially at the end.

    Something like "Shelly".

She does look a lot like Isis, the eyes I think. :P

But, looks like the final verdict is Lint again, hubby likes that one a lot and I named the last kitten we adopted. I really liked Ollie the weathercat and IGB though. ;)

    That's a great name, I laughed.

I think Pringles original intention was to make tennis balls... but on the day the rubber was supposed to show up a truckload of potatoes came. Pringles is a laid-back company, so they just said, "Fuck it, cut em up!".

A good guideline for the age of kittens under one year is 1lb/month up to about 7-8 months. She looks a little big to be that young.

    Very cute. :D

The fact that you found her in the rain reminds me of Breakfast at Tiffany's. Got "Moon River" playing in my head right away. Unfortunately the name of the cat in the movie was just Cat. But you could reference the movie anyway, and name her Holly. Or Audrey. Or Tiffany.

Hmm, might be the angle of the pictures, she's not very heavy and really tiny. Taking her to the vet today for shots so I'll know for sure then. :)

Well, she's four months old, just starting to get her adult teeth, shots all done, but she's got parasites, so we're on antibiotics for two weeks.

But otherwise, Lint seems to be doing great. :) Thanks for the help guys.
