Games are 5:00 qtrs, All Pro difficulty (default I believe) and there is a playoff. Unfortunately there are no divisions so everyone has to play everyone else once.

So join up. Trades are allowed but only with players with a similar amount of games. Meaning if you've played 15 of your games, you can't trade a great player to a forumer who has only played 3 of his in order to help him out.

Replying to the no midnight release thing.

My brother attended a midnight release at the same place last year, pretty much the reason I preordered it there. I called after making it and asking after seeing that they weren't on the list. They were not.

Now, now I pull my preorder out and do it at one that is this late in the game?
I doubt you can get a pre order in at a new store, this late in the game. Just roll with the 10 am tomorrow, i mean you know what the game is going to play like.
I'm going to try anyway. This will be my first midnight release anyway,

Crap Gamestop wants me there at 10pm to pay off the game. That is BS, as I get out of work at 10. Paul is not happy.

That's what a lot of stores do. They try to get everyone to pay off the game by 11-11:30 so they can hand you a receipt.

And then at midnight you just hand them the receipt, they scan the game and hand it to you, making everything go much much quicker.

I'd just get there and take care of that before like 11:30 and seems like it'd be fine.. at least at my store it is.

Okay, because it's my last week of work here in the MA and I don't want to be the guy who goes out wearing a pink shirt, flip flops and going home early.

Though I am in a pink shirt and flipflops.

I wear flip flops 90% of the year at least.

    Not too many pink shirts.

Well I think the Kirby in your avatar is about as bad.

Now if it were a Kirby with a football helmet, it's the most bad-ass thing ever.

If I weren't lazy I'd try to photoshop one on.

I have the next few days off work, and my girl is very busy. I've had nothing to do all today, I'm just ready for Madden.

Speaking of Photoshop, anyone here that's particularly talented and or bored feel like making a Madden Custom Cover template that I can just Paste Wes Welker onto?

There's a thread at the Sportsgamer forums where people were posting up custom covers with all different players. I'll look and see if I can find a Welker one for you.

Edit: That site is busy as hell right now with Madden coming out in a few hours.

Who wants a curse? Since 06 I've been playing Tom Brady on my cover and I feel as though I want to change it up, and I figure why not go with my favorite player.

Though if the curse does work that way, anyone got a custom cover with all the NY Giants on it?

Its hard to say. We need to get more consistent before we can figure out the real gaps. Both sides of the ball seem to play good one week, and bad the next.

Yeah, somtimes they'll play stupid ass shit about cheerleaders and what not. I swear, if NFL network isn't playing NFL total Access, a game of the week, a classic super-bowl, or something along those lines, they're doing something terrificially wrong.

We did the exact same thing.

Except when I move next month I'm canceling it at my parents' house and putting it on the bill at my house. The sports package with Comcast plus the HD channels adds up though.

I really want DirecTV and Sunday Ticket but I can't afford that right now. I'm hoping next year.

I'm really hoping my new place/college/dorm thing has at least one TV playing Pats games, because I think going to a bar where people are watching the bears get systematically destroyed, then seeing this chubby kid with a baby face in a Pats Jersy jumping up and down at our 8th TD in 2 quarters, won't go over well.

seriously, when their best receivers are their tight end and running back, i think you need more than a halfway decent, erratic qb

Well if I re-call correctly didn't Atlanta get to the NFC championship with a TE (Crumpler) and a running back (Dunn) in 04?

The Chargers (LT, Gates) in 2005 as well if I recall correctly as well.

Damn, ESPN's Monday Night Countdown looks awful in standard definition on an HDTV.

I only get ESPNHD over the air (since we don't have an 2nd Comcast cablebox) and the over-the-air ESPNHD doesn't have sound for me.

    Which is aggravating.

Well I'm aware they're exceptions to the rule, but I'm saying a Good Quarterback would also be an exception too. Think of the (Sigh) 01 Pats. What did we have?

One Guy who had a 70 passer rating for the year, but got shit done. I've seen flashes of that in Alex Smith, but I'm not quite sure if he's the guy. I think a guy like Kurt Warner would be a nice fit there.

also, that season was so much fun. especially when you consider my favorite offensive guy was matt stover that whole season
