File type woes

OK so a couple days ago I was having problems updating Neverwinter Nights 2. I successfully downloaded all the patches I needed, but once I unzipped them they were all in a .rtp file type, and when I click it, it opens a document with a bunch of gobbledygook.

Does anyone have any idea how I can actually get this files to update my game?

    Some very quick googling suggests that you need a tool, which can be downloaded here to install the patches that you have downloaded rather than patching it online.
