Extremely cutsey but the tech involved is pretty neat. (Like how the game seemed to recognize the kid drew a car.) I hope we see more of this (with less fuzzy) kind of stuff in the future.

Let me tell you about Demon's Souls....
How far from the PS3 can the camera get? If it can get pretty far, then you could just set it on a nearby workable surface and just watch the TV to see what's going on, rather than watching your actual hands. This might be helped by the ability to reverse the image horizontally, so that when you move to the "right" on the camera, it'll move right on the screen, making it feel less disconnected. This should be made an option, though.
I expect that the drawing interpretation has GOT to be based upon a "dictionary" of various drawings that are stored with the game. I don't see any other way it could work, unless you draw anything ever, and it just draws wheels and windows on it and rolls it around. (Incoming dongs with windows and wheels.)
So I bet it has a basic house shape, car shape, tree shape, animal shapes, etc. Lots of easily recognizable things where it can see part of that shape in your drawing and then complete it. It wouldn't surprise me if the manual included a list of drawings of things and what parts you needed to draw to make sure that the game would recognize it.
