Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Hey all, I bought a new LCD TV the other day and plugged my PS3 into it, and it looks great except for these odd lines that travel slowly up the screen. They're very faint but once I noticed them I can't unsee them and it's driving me nuts. I don't know much about A/V stuff, but I'm guessing it's some kind of interference. I'd check my PS3 manual but it seems to have disappeared. I'm using 3rd party component cables if that helps. Any advice would be much appreciated.
What display mode did you set on you PS3, and what is your LCD TV capable of? I've got mine hooked into a flatscreen monitor, but if I use anything other than 1080i on the PS3, I can see scanlines the sort of which you're describing.
