Yeah veratas, we've all seen Gundam.

The worst station was Texas Station.

Honestly, why do you need a giant orbiting desert, when you could put something useful there?

Black holes are pretty rad, though kind of scary to think about.

Leonard Susskind wrote a book recently called the Black Holes War which I need to pick up sometime and check it out.

Assuming you aren't being sarcastic here...

It's a long-running anime franchise in Japan, which all started with Mobile Suit Gundam back in 1979. It's had dozens of television and OVA series, movies, video games, etc.

The first series was adapted into a movie trilogy, which, while the animation is obviously rough compared to modern cartoons, I would say it's one of the best of all the series. The plot was that in the future humanity has put a whole bunch of colonies up in orbit around earth, and some of the colonies rebel against the Earth's government and form their own coalition, and go to war with them.

Basically it started the whole "realistic giant robot" trend.

Trampolines are the best for this. My entire family used to drag sleeping bags out to the trampoline and spend all night out there every time there was a major meteor shower.

There's nothing better than stargazing out in the middle of nowhere. In Flagstaff, Arizona you can see pretty much everything there is to see, and it's amazing.

When I was kid I freaked when my mom moved my bed by the window because I was afraid to sleep directly under it. Donno why, but I guess I thought that an advanced alien civilization that had traveled billions of miles to earth to probe me would give up if they had to walk a yard from the window to get to my bed.

I'm glad I wasn't the only kid who was irrationally paranoid about those things. I had similar rituals to "protect" myself, too.

Hell yes. I grew up in rural New Mexico. A mile of elevation, zero humidity, and twenty miles between you and the nearest town. The best stargazing.

I had a nightmare about the Earth being flung away from the Sun.

I was just out on the street and then the sky started turning black and I could see all the stars and then I grabbed a light pole because I don't know, all the air was going somewhere or something.

    It was pretty terrifying.
