My computer deleted my video card drivers, can't reinstall
So, I've got an nvidia 6800 that I installed a couple years ago. It was one of the cheap ones from a crappy manufacturer. Just out of nowhere, my computer uninstalled the drivers for the card. I go into device manager, and it's "video controller (vga compatible)" listed under other devices, but it says the device is not configured properly and it can't find drivers. I tried using the CD that came with the card to reinstall drivers, but the CD install system doesn't think I have a video card installed that needs drivers. The manual for the card on the CD is in 4 languages, none of which are English. I tried downloading drivers from the nvidia website, but nvidia's driver install system can't find drivers for my card.
This is super weird - the card was working fine for over 2 years, and all of a sudden the monitor went black and I had to plug in to the crappy card that came with the computer.
How can I install drivers for a card which I know should work, but all driver install programs claim doesn't exist?
