My Canon XL1 camcorder uses Firewire. Which is really annoying because my PC doesn't.

My external HD is firewrie. I can boot a PPC Mac using a partition set aside for OS X using firewire, but not USB 2.0. That's pretty convenient.

All but one were Sony actually, and it was the non-Sony one (it was a Sharp, I think) that lasted longest.
Maybe I just sucked at minidisc or something.

Possibly. I first watched it when I was 11 though, and it's been a part of my childhood since then... so its hype never really affected me too much.

I've had a feeling that it was one of those movies. Like The Goonies. I didn't watch The Goonies or Princess Bride until I was in my twenties so maybe that's it.

probably comes from hanging out with younger siblings my entire life

anyway, it allows me to still enjoy those old kid shows and movies

I feel like the goonies has actually aged pretty well, and is still watchable now. if only for the truffle shuffle and booty traps

Kids adventure movies were different back then. The adventures were smaller than the adult ones and I think that the kids watching liked that more, it's more relatable than saving the world, like when you'd go out and play in the woods or something. I mean The Goonies don't even leave their own town. I just felt like saying that.
