It's weird, I have all these incredibly fucked-up relatives on my mom's side of the family and I've been estranged from my dad's side for about fifteen years, but since my mom's death I'm slowly getting in touch with everybody and finding out that most of them are cool as hell. My mom's brother and his family all live about an hour away from me and they're super chill and fun, and now I'm learning that my dad's brother and his wife are also super cool.
still gotta get up the gumption to call my dad though
