Two Gentlemen From Verona would be a Shakespeare play. Guy tries to seduce and rape is best friends girlfriend. He's forgiven in the last half a page of the play.

Yeah, I liked that a lot. I was like 11, though, so I think it was mostly the scenery that got to me.
I have also gone to see a few independent plays at a local venue amateurs can rent out and try to turn a profit with. Most were surreal and dumb, but someone wrote a fantastic play called "Lunch With God" where god was played by a giant, jocular, fat man in a hawaiian shirt and I really liked it.
Also, "Stuck in a Wal-Mart Parking Lot" was a really good amateur production idea

You just have to not get involved with them. If you state very clearly that you think they are rediculously hot, and you want to bang them, but have no desire for anything else, they're usually very understanding.

That much sidescrolling can only mean good things.
I'd be worried about pompous asshattery. People who are fairly certain that they are gods gift to theatre can ruin a workshop, especially if they're the instructor.

Do it, by all means. Shitfuck gets done if you don't actively pursue training. If you don't like it, you can always back out, and have another theatre story about a lousy director/scene partner.

In my experience they are all nuts. And I hung around a dance studio for half a decade, at least.
That's been my experience in high school and so far in college, anyway.
Man, not at all here.
They love the gay guys, thats true, but the gay guys aren't sleeping with them.
So they take their sexual frusteration out on those straight guys in the department who WILL sleep with them.
