i am actually really glad that a lot of the mean people got banned, I wonder what prompted the change

i used to get the craziest spam. i figure some dude realised he could avoid spam filters by padding out the messages with passages from literature.

I used to get spam sort of like that, except it was a bunch of random, nonsensical phrases without any actual advertisement.

Yeah I saw that. He's throwing it in the faces of losers who logged onto to alt/joke accounts to try to get him banned. Maybe not the move I would make, but people stacking the votes to get him banned are the bigger assholes in that scenario, I'd say.

i think the reason a lot of people didn't/don't like pony is because he's just so smug
he really is the sort of person that enjoys putting people down

I think I started getting a LOT more spam when I sent my resume to a craigslist job posting, and they referred me to this "sign up for this job hunting site!" I'd say never try craigslist for jobs because most of them seem to be scams or just address/sucker mining, but I got my current job through craigslist, so you never know

I once hit my cousin with a spam email swarm of exponential growth that started out as 12^3rd and incremented upon that.

I'm bad at math but man in 1998 changing your email addy was kind of a big deal.

I've had a Hotmail account since pretty much Hotmail opened, I use that as my address when I know I won't be wanting may from that service very often. That thing now a lot of spam, and the filters only catch maybe 2 or 3 a week, but let everything else through.

My gmail account on the other hand, I get a lot of spam on it, but I never see any of it. They have a good filter there.

I get this quite regularly on my gmail for some reason, however they are all passages from Harry Potter books. I'm pretty sure I've received the entirety of all the books by now. If I get some today I'll post them
