I see what you mean, I meant "How can you hate Margot Kidder [as Lois Lane]".
Because, you know, she was good in that role.
Though, let's be honest, the movie was pretty much directed at:
a) nerds
b) film buffs
c) fans of the first (1 and maybe 2) films
d) kids who like anything with special effects
...everyone else was pretty meh about it. I remember people in the theatre being all disoriented about the plot ("I thought he landed on earth as a kid"). The title sequence threw a lot of them off.
Probably cause they expected Batman Begins to be a prequel, and then it wasn't. So they expected Superman to do the same reboot thing.
Anyway yeah. Returns is a movie which I can understand people not liking. However by no means is it a poorly made film (which is why I'll take issue with people who say it "sucked").
Also: Margot Kidder > Kate Bosworth [as Lois]

I'm pretty much in agreement with this statement. It just didn't click for me, but I will concede that it was well made.

I would still take Kidder as Louis over Bosworth.
