Our new Indie Games subforum is now open for business in G&T. Go and check it out, you might land a code for a free game. If you're developing an indie game and want to post about it, follow these directions. If you don't, he'll break your legs! Hahaha! Seriously though.
Our rules have been updated and given their own forum. Go and look at them! They are nice, and there may be new ones that you didn't know about! Hooray for rules! Hooray for The System! Hooray for Conforming!
Yeah, you heard me PC USERS. I'm looking for some bomb-ass computer speakers. Like, great ones. Preferably under $125, don't need a sub, just two nice units for the desk. They'll be sitting next to a new iMac so they better look good (THATS YOU PC USERS)
Well... I've got a bit of an affection to real speakers... But in my opinion, subs can look quite nasty as well. And the sound is going to be alot better from those m-audios than from some logitechs....
I know that you aren't looking for a sub, but generally with 2.0 computer speakers they are either really huge or extremely weak sounding. I've got these, and they have excellent sound quality for the price range. They don't look half bad either.

I don't know if they qualify as "Bomb-ass" though.
They also are indeed "bomb-ass"

Looks good to me! I think the retro speaker look would do the slick iMac justice for a nice contrast
EDIT: Saddenly... just above your budget..
Im gonna go ahead and say those may be the ugliest speakers I have ever seen. Don't get those.
My company sells these and I bought a set for my Flatmate. We ran a small party off of them. Great sound.

They're a little bit higher priced than most 2.0 speaker sets, but I've heard them in person and they've got some "oomph" to them, as you will.
