Seattle area gaming stores/groups?

HeyJoeHeyJoe Registered User regular
Hi there...

I'm new to the Seattle area and am looking for gaming stores or comic stores with a gaming section. I'm into fantasy RPGs (D&D mostly)

I'm also trying to find a D&D group in need of players. I'll play any edition of the game and have 25+ years of experience with the D&D in most of its incarnations. 8-)

Thanks in advance.

    Some places to check out:
The Dreaming. Comics / Games shop on the north end of The Ave.

Fire & Sword. Heavily Games Workshop oriented store in Northgate a block or so from the mall. Has regular gaming nights for Warhammer / 40K / other miniatures games. Has a suprising amount of table space and terrain available considering the size of the place.

Gary's Games. On Greenwood just north of 85th. Has the usual array of RPGs and such. Good place.

American Eagle. On Lake City just north of 125th (right in the middle of Lake City). Has a gargantuan selection of old, out of print and generally weird games as well as tons of modeling supplies. Also has a downstairs store devoted entirely to model trains. You have to go to this place at least once. So kewl.

    Edit:

Also on the east side there is Games & Gizmos (formerly Wizkids) in the Bella Botega plaza in Redmond. Place is huge and has everything.

What you think "makes sense" has nothing to do with reality. It just has to do with your life experience. And your life experience may only be a small smidgen of reality. Possibly even a distorted account of reality at that. So what this means is that, beginning in the 20th century as our means of decoding nature became more and more powerful, we started realizing our common sense is no longer a tool to pass judgment on whether or not a scientific theory is correct. - Neil Degrasse Tyson

Yep, I've done that. Didn't come up with too much and Google doesn't usually help when I want opinions such as which is the best etc, etc.

    Thanks anyway though.

Mods feel free to move my thread... didn't see the tabletop forum initially.

Thanks so far the only place I've been is Fantastic Games in Edmonds. Most of those you listed are fairly close anyway. 8-)
